In 2007 Ishii Yuya won the PIA prize, the leading award at Tokyo’s PIA Film Festival, with this his first feature-length movie. Since then he has made another three films, Girl Sparks, Bakemono moyou (Of Monster Mode) and Hangyaku Jiro no koi (Rebel, Jiro’s Love).
